Teracrystal raid events focused on a chromatic Rayquaza will soon be held in Pokémon Scarlet et Pokémon Purple. In parallel with the arrival of this legendary Pokémon, massive event appearances of Pokémon that take on the color black when they are chromatic will take place. A three-part series of Teracrystal raid events will also take place ahead of the arrival of the Chromatic Rayquaza. The Pokémon that appear during these raids will help you deal with this legendary Pokémon.
In addition, an infographic containing detailed information on the adventures experienced by the Trainers of Pokémon Scarlet et Pokémon Purple across Paldea, Septentria and the Blueberry Institute since the release of these games was released.
A Chromatic Rayquaza Appears During a Special Event
A Chromatic Rayquaza with the Teracrystal Dragon type will be present in 5-star Teracrystal raids from Friday, December 20, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025. Normally, it is impossible to come across a Chromatic Rayquaza during a game.
The Chromatic Rayquaza that will appear during this event can only be obtained once per save. After capturing him, you can continue to participate in Teracrystal raids against him to obtain other rewards throughout the event. It is possible that a Chromatic Rayquaza will reappear during a future event, or that you may encounter it by other means.
Mass spawns and additional event-based Teracrystal raids
Mass appearances of Pokémon that turn black when they are chromatic
During the spawning of Chromatic Rayquaza, mass spawnings of Incisache, Strassie, and Pietaceous will occur in various locations. These are Pokémon that take on the color black when they are chromatic. Moreover, the Pokémon that appear during these singular phenomena will be more likely to be chromatic. You can come across Piétacé in the Paldea region, Strassie in Septentria and Incisache under the Terra-Dôme of the Myrtille Institute.
Ahead of the arrival of Chromatic Rayquaza, several Pokémon with various Teracrystal types will appear more often in 5-star Teracristal raids. This three-part event will therefore be the ideal opportunity to catch Pokémon useful in Teracrystal raids.
