The Pixel 9, with its refreshed design, highlights numerous features boosted by artificial intelligence. This 2024 version, which moves up in range and price, has enough arguments to appeal to the greatest number of people, whether iPhone users or those usually allergic to AI.

With this Pixel 9, Google delivers one of its best smartphones to date, and justifies its price upgrade. Combining an ultra-premium design with welcome hardware and software improvements, this model has an excellent screen, better battery life, and sufficient power for all uses. Despite a charging time that is still too slow and the absence of Android 15 out of the box, the device offers an interface rich in customization options and numerous AI functions, even if some remain inaccessible for the moment in France. On the photo side, the Pixel 9 also stands out as one of the best photophones of 2024. In short, if everything is not perfect, this new iteration can look the competition straight in the eye.
NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).
An alternative
Samsung’s previous Galaxy Ultras were able to convince us, but not fully. It is quite different for the 2023 vintage which finally reaches the top of the range, perfectly complete and pleasant in all situations. We can obviously criticize this Galaxy 23 Ultra for a photo part that is oddly quite behind on certain points, but nothing that cannot be corrected by a subsequent update. As it stands, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can once again claim its place as king of premium.
