With Halloween and the All Saints' Day holidays over, the end-of-year celebrations are now in the video game world's sights. This is evidenced by the early promotions around Black Friday, which feature excellent titles at cut-off prices. We tell you more.
Black Friday is the Friday that comes just after Thanksgiving Thursday, which is the third Thursday of the month of November. It is therefore often in advance that video game publishers prepare by selling off their productions a few days before (then for days after, especially before Christmas). This is demonstrated by the promotions on the Windows Store for Xbox games, the most interesting of which can reach up to -80% reduction. But that doesn't mean we should put aside those between 25% and 50%.
Games between 25% and 50% off
We find excellent titles released recently. This is for example the case of Alan Wake 2, nominated several times for the 2023 Game Awards and which has just received its first DLC in October. In the same way, we find Resident Evil 4: it too was nominated for the Game Awards in the “Best Game of the Year” category. Released more recently, we can note the presence of Tekken 8 (January 2024), EA Sports FC 25 or even Star Wars Outlaws: the first open world Star Wars video game. For fans of independent games, it would be stupid to miss Blasphemous 2 (a mix between metroid, castlevania and Dark Souls) or even Chants of Senaar with its very interesting gameplay.
- Alan Wake 2 (€39.99 instead of €79.99, -50% reduction)
- EA Sports FC 25 (€39.99 instead of €79.99, -50% reduction)
- Star Wars Outlaws (€59.99 instead of €79.99, -25% reduction)
- Resident Evil 4 Remake (€39.99 instead of €19.99, -50% reduction)
- Tekken 8 (€39.99 instead of €79.99, -50% reduction)
- Blasphemous 2 (€14.99 instead of €39.99, -50% reduction)
- Chants of Senaar (€11.99 instead of €19.99, -40% reduction)
Games over 50% off
For those who are close to their wallets (and we understand them as the end-of-year holidays approach), there are also several titles that are worth looking into in addition to being in severe promotion. To start with the biggest, these are of course Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077 and the Assassin's Creed games which are on sale: ideal titles for anyone who wants to get started in an open world.
For narrative that does not neglect the atmosphere, we can only recommend the A Plague Tale bundle (award-winning French games); the remaster of Alan Wake or the Bioshock license. On the multiplayer side, it's Borderlands 3 which may be interesting to take (especially ahead of 4, announced recently) as well as A Way Out: it's a title produced by Hazelight Studio, author of the game of the year in 2021
- A Plague Tale Bundle (€37.99 instead of €79.99, -65% reduction)
- A Way Out (€4.49 instead of €29.99, -85% reduction)
- Alan Wake Remastered (€29.99 instead of €7.49, -75% reduction)
- Hogwarts Legacy (€22.49 instead of €74.99, -70% reduction)
- The Assassin's Creed license in general, from 60% to 85% reduction
- Bioshock: The Collection (€9.99 instead of €49.99, -80% reduction)
- Borderlands 3 (€6.99 instead of €69.99, -90% reduction)
- Cyberpunk 2077 (€26.99 instead of €59.99, -55% reduction)
