Microsoft recently released the Xbox November Update to all users. The best part? The friend request function, which already existed at the time of the Xbox 360, is now making its return to the green console.

Redmond’s premier tech giant re-introduces friend requests after more than a decade returning this September for Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and PC Gaming preview channels. It’s a nice revisit to the old Xbox 360 system, replacing the current model only available in following.

“Your current connections will be updated accordingly. You’ll remain friends with players who also added you as a friend, and you’ll continue to follow anyone who hasn’t,” says Xbox Wire’s Joe Skrebels.

Speaking of the update, Microsoft is also bringing AI to search for games, whether you’re playing on your Xbox console or the Xbox app on Windows. It can also recognize typos, emojis, and even prompts like “FPS with zombies,” for example.

The Redmond company also rolled out a new Home experience on the Xbox app on Windows. It offers personalized content and easy access to Game Pass and Store offers. This new look arrived a while ago when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 released to accommodate the highly anticipated launch.

The update also brings new tools for adjusting the controller’s joysticks and triggers. You can now map the controller’s buttons or sticks to different functions, and additional options have been added for Xbox Adaptive Controllers.
