What’s planned for the Warcraft license: 30th anniversary Warcraft Direct announcements

As the Warcraft universe is about to celebrate 30 adventures across the many titles set on Azeroth, on November 15, the teams of World of Warcraft, Classic, Hearthstone et Warcraft Rumble came together for a special presentation.

On the occasion of Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct which has just concluded, the Warcraft teams took stock of the legacy of the iconic game universe. Players were particularly in the spotlight and were able to look forward to what is planned for each Warcraft title.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT (moderne)

November 23, World of Warcraft will celebrate 20 years of exploring (and protecting) Azeroth.

The first major content update of The War Within, Undermine(d)will be deployed early next year and will be set in the underground goblin capital of Earthmine, where players can continue to track down the mysterious Xal’atath and try to thwart her plans.

With the arrival of Undermine(d), season 2 of The War Within will include:

  • 2 new chasmsas well as thematic updates of current sinkholes;
  • 1 new dungeonwhich will also be available in the Season 2 Mythic+ selection, in addition to the four launch dungeons and the three historical dungeons;
  • a new land mount specially designed to travel through the goblin city at high speed;
  • 1 new 8-boss raid in which players will be able to face Gallywix and his allies across the city of Earthmine.

Private residences are coming! To conclude its presentation, the team of World of Warcraft has shared more details regarding this new system planned for next year.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT CLASSIC

The season of discovery ends to make way for a new beginning.

In order to continue their Classic journey on the progression realms, Mists of Pandaria Classicinvites players to rediscover the much-loved expansion as it was when it was released in 2012 (with a few minor changes along the way).

Feature highly requested by the community WoW ClassicTHE kingdoms of the 20th anniversary special edition offer a new beginning in the classical era and include Extreme realm options, all allowing you to progress simultaneously in the content. Servers not affected by Extreme mode will go up to Burning Crusade Classic.

HEARTHSTONE

The team of Hearthstone has shared its plans for 2025, including details on the next three expansions!

To start the year off right, characters from a distant universe invite themselves into the inn: the Protoss, Terrans and Zerg are about to invade the game boards with the mini-set of StarCraft heroes and heroines.

Shortly after, the team will open the doors to theUnderground Arena before venturing into the Emerald Dream on the occasion of the first expansion of the year.

Players will then be able to re-enter Un’Goro Crater to explore The Shrouded City before ending the year in style by traveling through alternative realities alongside Chromie in The Heroes of Time.

WARCRAFT RUMBLE

Warcraft Rumble arrive sur PC ! The beta starts on December 10.

The PC release of Warcraft Rumble will be closely followed by a brand new feature: chiefs who belong to two families at the same time. Among these leaders are legendary figures like Orgrim Doomhammer, Malfurion Hurlorage et Anub’arak.

WARCRAFT STR

The game that started it all has received updates already available!

A new Warcraft Battle Chest is available to players who wish to explore the origins of the Warcraft universe while benefiting from modernized elements and comfort improvements.

The dynamic price pack (i.e. it adapts depending on what players already have in their collection) gives access to:

  • Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Remastered
  • Warcraft II: Tides of War Remastered
  • Warcraft III: Reforged

The game will be upgraded to version 2.0 with new features such as a customizable visual experience allowing you to choose between Reforged graphics, classic graphics and a new classic presentation remastered with a resolution suitable for modern computers.

What’s more, players will be able to merge and combine interface elements from the three graphic options (icons, portraits, scenes, etc.)
