Stellar Blade, Shift Up’s first major game on PlayStation 5, is expected to launch on PC next year. Although the exact release date is not known, this confirms an earlier rumor that announced its arrival on the platform. Inven (via Insider Gaming) spotted it during the recent Shift Up press conference.
The company expects Stellar Blade to perform better on PC than on consoles. But this is quite a steep slope to climb. A report from five months ago estimated that Stellar Blade sold around million units on PlayStation 5 and that number has certainly increased since then.
Additionally, the game can be considered a Souls Lite. It is not particularly easy and requires a certain degree of skill to complete, at least for players who are unfamiliar with the genre. That said, Stellar Blade is one of the best-received games of 2025, so many players won’t hesitate to try it, if only for the modeling potential it offers.
Stellar Blade is set to receive Nier Automata-themed DLC on November 20, but nothing is planned in terms of story expansion.
