The latest version of WhatsApp simplifies the process of sharing images, with one less step.
Meta regularly updates its WhatsApp application to modify its user interface and simplify it more and more.
The latest update, spotted by the site WABetaInfotackles photo sharing on the messaging app. Indeed, as the specialized site indicates, the latest beta of WhatsApp on Android, in version 2.24.24.9, will make it possible to simplify the selection of photos to share in discussions.
Until now, to share images to a loved one on WhatsApp, you had to select the attachments icon, then tap the gallery option. We could then choose the different images to send… before finding ourselves in front of the image editor to modify or annotate them. It was only then that the button to send the images to the gallery appeared.
One less step for sharing images
Now, WhatsApp beta version 2.24.24.9 simplifies the procedure. When opening your photo gallery to select images, validation allows you to send them directly, without having to go through the image editor. Enough to simplify the process by reducing the number of steps. Likewise, it is no longer necessary to long press on each image to select it from the files to send, a short press is now sufficient.
However, modifying images within WhatsApp, before sending, remains possible, with an option appearing at the bottom left of the screen, next to the field allowing you to enter the album caption.
Beta update 2.24.24.9 is already available on Android smartphones enrolled in the beta program. The new gallery sharing approach should be rolled out to all users in the coming months.
