Honor has unveiled a new smartphone in its X series, the Honor X9c 5G. The company’s new mid-range smartphone is now available in Malaysia for RM1,499 (approx. $340 / Rs. 28,770). The X9c is a rebranded version of the Honor X60 Pro that was introduced in China last month.
It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor based on 4nm architecture, 12 GB of RAM and an Adreno 710 GPU. It runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. As for the design, the Honor X9c has a curved screen. Compared to last year’s Honor X9b, there are no major improvements. You get the same processor, same screen and almost identical design.
The phone has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2700 x 1224 px and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Additionally, the X9c is expected to achieve 4,000 nits on 27% of its screen, up from 1 200 nits on the X9b. At 189 grams, this year’s model weighs 4 grams more than its predecessor.

The Honor X9c features a dual rear camera with support for 4k/30fps videos. The 108-megapixel main camera with OIS is complemented by a 5-megapixel wide camera.
