Safety and always more safety! Galaxy smartphones continue to benefit from Samsung’s excellent software tracking, and the S24s are unsurprisingly the best off. Indeed, the latest high-end non-folding products from the South Korean firm can now enjoy the November 2024 security patch.
The update specifically addresses 38 “high risk” vulnerabilities inherent to Android patched by Google, as well as 13 “moderate or high” risk security flaws in Samsung’s proprietary One UI overlay.
Regarding the latter, it is important to mention that some allowed hackers to access the data on your Galaxy S24, or even to execute malicious code. Samsung is tackling a recent vulnerability linked to Exynos chips, including those equipped on the Galaxy S10, S20, Note 10, Note 20 and the first Z Fold, with the November 2024 security patch.
As a bonus, we are entitled to improvements to Samsung’s Auto Blocker. “When set to Maximum Restrictions, no USB devices (except chargers) will work when connected to the Galaxy S24,” explains SamMobile.
To download and install the November 2024 security update on the Galaxy S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra, go to Settings and the Software Update section.
To note, the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra have started receiving the same patch in the United States. Deployment in Europe should therefore not take long!
