How to get it repaired for free?

To find out if you are affected, the company has set up a verification method on the support.apple.com site. You are asked to enter the serial number of your smartphone. To find it, simply go to your Settings > General > Information > Serial number.

If your device is recalled, you must take it to an Apple Store, an authorized service center, or send it directly to customer service. Apple advises its customers to back up their iPhone data to iCloud or to a computer before having it repaired.

Until April 2027

If your “iPhone 14 Plus has suffered damage that compromises repair, such as a crack on the glass back, this will need to be repaired first,” warns Apple. “In some cases, you may be charged for the additional repair.” Furthermore, you can request a refund from Apple if you have already repaired your rear camera.

You can benefit from this program until April 2027. After this date, repairs will be your responsibility.
