Even if it doesn't yet make coffee or sing lullabies to the excited children in the back of the vehicle, Screenmate is nonetheless versatile. The device allows you to simultaneously display the Tesla interface on one side and third-party applications on the other thanks to “Dual View” mode.
The most gamers can even connect a console via HDMI or USB. Quite appreciable when you know that Tesla had abandoned the Steam platform on some of its models. The icing on the cake: a customizable shortcut panel makes it easy to access frequent commands like windshield wipers or opening the glove box.
Small downside for some: its price. Although funded through a Kickstarter campaign, which has already raised more than $350,000, Teslogic is offering the device from $549 for pre-order, which is still around 500 euros. The first deliveries are planned for May 2025, with compatibility announced for almost all recent Tesla models.
Perhaps a small pebble in Elon Musk's shoe, who might not appreciate being outplayed.
