Google Watches are enriched with new, very practical functions

As is regularly the case, Google announced this Tuesday a wave of new products for all of its products. Although most of them concern the manufacturer’s smartphones, as well as the update to Android 15, connected watches are not neglected.

Indeed, the “ Feature Drop » from October 2024 from Google will allow you to benefit from new features for Google Pixel Watches. On the program, two new features were announced by Google: simplified access to favorite contacts and emoji reactions by email.

Two new handy functions

From now on, Pixel Watches will benefit from a new widget tile to quickly access contacts bookmarked on your smartphone. A simple way to quickly contact someone you often call or write to, without having to dig through the contact list in the appropriate application. The tile will notably allow you to call, send a message or modify the contact file in question.

The second new feature concerns messages received on Gmail. It will now be possible to quickly respond to an email, from the notification window, with a simple emoji. Like WhatsApp or Google Messages, you can easily respond to an email from your wrist with a simple symbol, without having to open the message in question or write a long response.

These two new features will be available in the coming weeks on the Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3. Google is also taking advantage of these announcements to formalize the arrival of loss of pulse detection in three new countries: Belgium, Italy and Spain. Remember that this health function has already been offered in France since the launch of the Pixel Watch 3.
