Farm Rio and Adidas celebrate ten years of collaboration in the skies and on the beaches of Brazil

Ten years ago, the Brazilian brand Farm Rio, founded by the couple Kátia Barros and Marcello Bastos in 1997, celebrated the Football World Cup in Brazil with a first capsule collection with Adidas. Ten years later, the two brands come together for a spectacular commemorative collection.

Accustomed to collaborations, notably with Levi’s, Havaianas and Smiley, Farm Rio this time combines its tropical and flamboyant spirit with the iconic brand with the three stripes, around a collection designed to reflect the essence of the two brands.

The highlight of the collection, the return of Adidas Originals, which was part of the first collaboration launched in 2014, is revealed this year around 20 remarkable pieces, including the iconic Firebird jacket reinvented with new prints.

In addition to clothing, the collection includes a line sportswear with various accessories including a backpack, a cap and an altinha ball, altinha being a beach game born in the 1960s on Ipanema beach in Rio. A complementary capsule of Farm Rio classics is also offered.

In support of this collaboration, a video campaign shows real athletes “floating” on a sand platform attached to a hot air balloon, where everyone plays the game of altinha. Athletes who are then found on Brazilian beaches and on top of cliffs. Created without the use of AI and with the help of expert skydivers and hot air balloon specialists, the breathtaking film captures the energy of the two brands in a dream setting.

The Adidas x Farm Rio collection is available online and in selected stores since October 10, with prices for pieces ranging from 15 to 130 euros. More than 70 countries distribute the collection.
