Members of the Association of Rural Elders of Nogent-le-Bernard celebrated the 50the anniversary of their association, marking half a century of friendship and conviviality.
For the occasion, 39 people gathered in a restaurant in Sillé-le-Philippe, to share a warm moment full of memories.
Created in 1974 by Hubert Léon, the association has seen several presidents over the decades. After Hubert Léon, who held the position until 1983, Arthur Wifour took over, followed by Roger Ligot, Auguste Boulay, Claude Guillemin, Agnès Baudin, and finally, Bernard Badet, the current president.
To mark this special event, all guests received a gift as a souvenir of this day. A particular tribute was paid to the dean of the association, Paulette Loison, and to the dean, Daniel Igersheim.
This 50th anniversary is a great opportunity to recall the importance of this type of structure in the lives of rural seniors, by strengthening social ties and offering precious moments of conviviality. Let us wish the Association of Rural Elders of Nogent-le-Bernard many more years of success and sharing,
concluded the president, Bernard Badet.
The afternoon continued in a joyful atmosphere with card games and board games, allowing everyone to spend a pleasant moment of relaxation and sharing. These festivities showed, once again, that the spirit of camaraderie and mutual aid that drives the association is stronger than ever.
