Now Apple will notify iPhone users of calls considered spam.
Funny idea for Apple to radically change its way of proceeding when everything was working so well. And yet, with iOS 18, Apple has modified an element that was taken for granted. For years, calls considered spam (notably cold calling) were automatically blocked and the user was no longer notified. But with iOS 18, everything changes. From now on, the user will see small notifications appear in the phone application, which will indicate which calls have been blocked.
So of course, it’s not extremely annoying, and it certainly even serves the purpose of transparency, but we must admit that for those who receive 5 to 10 spam calls per day, it risks quickly becoming annoying, even more so. that Apple does not offer any complete blocking option…
