Basel drag queen Tessa Testicle, whose real name is Lorenzo Cicirò, is enjoying real success on the international scene thanks to her participation in the reality TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars”, a show broadcast on Paramount+. After making an impression in the German version of the program, the Basel artist became one of the five winners of this new global edition, where drag stars compete in dance, sewing and comedy events. With his confidence and spicy humor – “My strategy is simple: I’m beautiful, b*****!” – Tessa intends to win the crown awarded to first place.
Behind the scenes, Lorenzo Cicirò juggles his work in an indoor cycling studio with his new international opportunities. “I have shows in Portugal, London and even a tour in Australia,” confides the artist, for whom drag is also a business. It all started at the Basel Carnival, but today, Tessa performs alongside legends of the discipline, like Alyssa Edwards. Despite the challenges, notably hateful comments online, she remains determined to make the Swiss scene shine around the world.
