Apple Watch Ultra (and AR glasses) will adopt microLED technology sooner than expected

Apple is expected to expand its Wearables Vision program to“spatial computing” with a new form factor resembling much more AR Glasses (like these XREAL Air 2 Pros glasses on Amazon) than the full headset of the current Pro flagship.

The glasses could be easier on the face (if not the wallet) – and feature potentially advanced microLED rather than OLED displays. According to leaker Jukanlosreve, the glasses could be easier to use for the face (if not for the wallet). The presumed first generation of Apple Glasses (or iGlass?) could launch at the same time as the next generation of Watch Ultra with the same type of screen.

Additionally, these devices are now scheduled to launch in 2026, while previous leaks regarding Apple Watches and the upcoming Watch Ultra indicated delays for both devices, which could extend into 2027.
