The new CasiOak is the almost perfect copy of the Royal Oak

In the world of luxury watchmaking, creations by Audemars Piguet are extremely popular with collectors. The house has always strived to offer exceptional timepieces, combining quality and innovative designs. Among the brand’s most emblematic models, we find the Royal Oak line, launched in 1972, which redefined the codes of luxury sports watches. This model also inspired the new “CasiOak” edition of G-Shock, which takes up the bold aesthetic of the Royal Oak. But what about their characteristics?

G-Shock “CasiOak”: the ideal alternative to the Royal Oak

In October, the Casio subsidiary expanded its catalog with, among others, the DEFY Skyline, a limited edition of 100 copies. This watch duo includes a pink model, launched to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

The second novelty for this month of October is a edition of the “CasiOak” range. As a reminder, last August, G-Shock presented a model from this collection in partnership with Fratello, celebrating the 55th anniversary of the first moon landing in July 1969.

The new “CasiOak” edition offers two references: the GMC-B2100AD-2Aequipped with a blue dial, and the GMC-B2100D-1Awith a black dial. The latter strangely echoes the aesthetic of the famous Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet. The two models are distinguished by notable similarities, notably the shape of the octagonal case and the three counters on the dial.

You will have understood, the little new from Casio is not yet available, but it will be in the coming days and given its attractive features and price, it could be out of stock very quickly.

A comparison of choices

As you can see, both models share stainless steel as their preferred material. If you’re looking for a model that stands out for its looks without breaking the bank, the G-Shock watch is a smart choice. In addition to its attractive price, it is powered by solar energy, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to offering watches adapted to the demands of today’s market.

For discerning collectors, invest in the Royal Oak of Audemars Piguet turns out to be a wise choice. Although it was launched more than 50 years ago, it remains a contemporary reference thanks to the avant-garde spirit of the house. An iconic piece of watchmaking, the Royal Oak was created to revitalize sales in response to a drop in demand in the 1960s. It remains a masterpiece of engineering and design, as rich in history as it is in aesthetics.
