Never be without music again: Here’s how Spotify creates automatic playlists for offline listening

Spotify is certainly one of the oldest and most widespread in the world in the field of music streaming and its success is also based on the consistent software support it enjoys and for this we tell you about the offline playlists that are officially arriving for Spotify. The innovation that Spotify has just announced consists of the possibility of automatically managing the musical content that we prefer to have it available offline when needed. Offline content on Spotify is something we’ve known for a long time and leveraged to create our own list of songs that we can listen to even when we don’t have an internet connection. For example when we are on a flight or in any other situation in which the Internet connection is not optimal. Until now, however, Spotify has left it to itself to make the songs that interest us available offline, in order to create a list of content that can be listened to if necessary. However, everything consists of manual activity. If for some reason we forget to create the songs that interest us offline when we have an Internet connection, we will not be able to listen to them when we need them.

The innovation that Spotify has just introduced resolves precisely this aspect. Offline playlists will be automatically created by the platform based on each user’s favorite and most listened to content. It therefore seems that the creation of offline playlists will follow the same criterion followed by the selection of suggestions on the music platform. The resulting playlist will be called Offline Save and will automatically appear in the Spotify app feed for all users. To work, you will need to have offline listening enabled on Spotify, and have listened to at least five songs on the platform. The auto-generated playlist can be filtered and sorted by artist, mood and genre, and Spotify says it will change and adapt to each user’s preferences as they use it, so it won’t offer not always the same tracks. It will also be possible to save the playlist among your personal playlists, if you particularly like it. The news we just saw will come to everyone who is a Spotify Premium subscriber. Automatic deployment should start soon on Android and iOS.
