Over the years, Google has gotten into the habit of releasing its new Pixel A in May. This was particularly the case for the last two models in the range, the Pixel 7A and 8A. However, this year, the firm could finally completely review its calendar. At least that’s what we learn from the publication AndroidHeadlines, which is getting a lot of attention for its numerous leaks and still confidential information revealed to the general public.
The Google Pixel 9A available for pre-order from March?
Thus, according to AndroidHeadlines, the Google Pixel 9A could become available for pre-order as early as mid-March 2025. This implies an advance of a few weeks compared to the usual schedule. This advance can be explained quite easily: Google already releases its brand new range of Pixels every summer, during the month of August. A release in May for a Pixel A is ultimately quite close to this annual event, and the anticipation of the new models could ultimately swallow up sales of the new Pixel A models.
In other words, this change in calendar could well be definitive: in the future, Google would continue to offer its new Pixel A during the months of February/March. This will therefore also be the case for the Pixel 10A in particular. Generally speaking, this change in timing does not only affect the Pixel A: Google is also reviewing its entire calendar linked to Android: Android 16 could thus be released during the second quarter of 2025 (therefore perhaps simultaneously with the release of the Pixel 9A?).
