A bug allows you to teleport to the last dungeon and finish the game in an hour

Take full advantage of the game and all the puzzles it offers or finish it as quickly as possible? Each gamer has their own way of playing. For fans of “speedrunning”, the fact of completing a video game in record time, the latest Zelda on Nintendo Switch has unintentionally made a nice gift, reports Numerama. And it’s not about the possibility of finally playing Princess Zelda.

Released for a week, The Legend of Zelda : Echoes of Wisdom indeed contains a huge bug which allows you to teleport to the final dungeon of the game in less than an hour. The flaw was revealed by a gamer on Reddit and explained in a YouTube video by Linkus7, a speedrunning specialist.

A delight for speedrunners

Like any flaw, this requires precise manipulation and a certain skill. The bug relies on opening different menus and windows after discovering the first “echo”, and very quickly allows the player to teleport anywhere in the virtual universe, including to the doors of the final boss.

Getting out of the final dungeon alive after a few minutes of play is obviously difficult, but some have already succeeded. A feat for fans of “speedrunning” and record-breaking, surely a little less for those who prefer to take full advantage of the world, the “gameplay” and the different intrigues.

The existence of the flaw is not surprising, notes Numerama. Like its predecessor Tears of Kingdom, the new “Zelda” offers great creativity to gamers when it comes to interacting with objects. This inevitably comes with its share of bugs and surprises. There is no doubt that Nintendo is already working on a fix to resolve the problem.
