Microsoft integrates AI into Paint and Photos in Windows 11 to revolutionize visual creation

With the addition of advanced editing and AI-assisted creation features, even novice users can now access professional software capabilities. This technological shift thus offers more creative freedom.

Revolution in image editing with Microsoft AI

Among the new features integrated into flagship applications like Paint, we note the inclusion of processes such as ‘Generative Erase’ et ‘Generative Fill’. These technologies, already used by highly specialized editing software such as Photoshop, now appear in basic programs in Windows 11. Thanks to ‘Generative Erase’, it is possible to remove unwanted elements from an image, while ‘ Generative Fill’ is responsible for filling these areas by generating textures specific to the original photographic environment.

This makes it possible to transform almost any photo according to the user’s wish without special technical skills. If previously these practices required a certain amount of know-how, they are now simplified thanks to artificial intelligence which assists each stage of the creative process.

The improvement not only affects Paint but also Microsoft’s Photos application, offering in a similar way to ‘Generative Erase’, the ability to easily remove distracting objects in any image. Additionally, the functionality ‘Super-Resolution’recently introduced, uses AI to sharpen photos. Thus, even those taken with devices with a low initial resolution can be enlarged while maintaining optimal quality.

Microsoft emphasizes that these updates aim to provide an enriched user experience, making once-complex tasks accessible with a single click, and delivering impressive results without relying on sophisticated hardware.

At the same time, Microsoft announces the tool Click to Doalso promoted in preview version, which aims to increase the level of user productivity. Its intuitive interface allows you to benefit from personalized assistance based on current activity such as rewriting texts, carrying out additional research, or even quickly sending relevant emails to your often requested contacts.
