Ulanzi has unveiled the A30 mini wireless microphone kit for vloggers and influencers. The kit includes two microphones with active noise reduction (ANC) to capture voices clearly in noisy environments. The compact 11 gram (0.39 oz) design allows it to be worn comfortably for hours after attaching it to the user’s clothing by a clip or magnet. The A30 comes with black and white covers to blend in better with clothing.
The A30 microphone supports loud sounds up to 110 dB SPL and outputs a 16-bit 48 kHz audio signal with a signal-to-noise ratio of 83 dB. Blurred wind shrouds are included to reduce wind noise, and combined with ANC, the A30 can clearly record the voices of vloggers outdoors. Users of the connected camera or phone can control recording using the receiver’s 3.5mm headphone jack.
Each microphone has a battery life of 5 hours. Uniquely, the A30 microphone can continue recording when connected to the case for charging, and in this mode the case provides 15 hours of battery life. An indicator on the case shows the current battery level. The A30 case charges using the included USB charging cable. The receiver can provide pass-through charging when connected to a smartphone and a USB power source.
The receiver comes with adapters for compatibility with a variety of devices, from cameras to smartphones, that use USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm connectors. The built-in 2.4Ghz wireless transmitter allows influencers to move up to 50 meters (164 feet) from their phone during live broadcasts and recordings. The unit can receive audio from two A30 wireless microphones simultaneously.
The Ulanzi A30 Microphone Kit has an MSRP of 9,599 yen (~$67), with a special price of 7,679 yen (~$54) until October 10. Budding vloggers can pick up a selfie stick and tripod with built-in LED light (like this one on Amazon) to use with the A30.
