This week, Sony and PlayStation brought together their entire community, as well as players from around the world, to attend a State of Play, presenting some of the games coming in 2024 and 2025. If the ultimate presentation caught up with everything, there is a title that caused a lot of talk: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. Although the idea of a remaster infuriates some, it may be a really nice deal for those who picked up the PS4 version for free and never got around to launching it!
A State of Play and a remastered PS5 and PC version of a 2017 game that provokes reactions
Not long ago, Sony and PlayStation managed to annoy gamers in the community. No, this is not the revelation and, above all, the price of the PlayStation 5 Pro – that’s another debate -, but because of the fact that the duo seems desperately clinging to their strategy of remastering their flagship titles. In recent years, players have had enough with the numerous editions of The Last of Usso that some announcements now have the gift of playing with their nerves, so that they only dream of a Bloodborne remaster. What ignited the powder were, initially, the rumors around a remastered PS5 (and PC) version of… Horizon Zero Dawna title dating from 2017.
Eventually, the rumor will have just had time to spread before being officially confirmed by Sony and PlayStation during l’événement State of Play which took place earlier in the week. However, we reassure you, it was not only a question of remastering – in fact one of them did not appear during this conference – then we were able to discover the first images there from the next Sucker Punch game, Ghost of Yoteicontinuation of Ghost of Tsushima which takes place three centuries later. But back to Horizon Zero Dawn because, if the pill does not pass on one side, other players could rub their hands!
A PS5 game for €10! Those who have never launched Horizon Zero Dawn are sure to get a bargain
How much ink is spilling over this remastering of Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5 (especially the Pro) and PC! By the way, Sony and PlayStation did not fail, thanks to this spotlight, to inflate the price of the game on the PlayStation Store. Currently, the Complete edition of the game on PS4 is priced at €39.99, or 20 euros more than the usual price, which corresponds to an amount that the title has not reached for… 5 years! In short, the subject of Horizon Zero Dawn is debated in all directions, but its return to PlayStation 5 (and PS5 Pro) is potentially a godsend for some players in the community!
Everyone knows that it’s not always easy to keep up with the frenetic pace of video game releases. A little over four years ago, in an effort to break the gloom induced by the global pandemic, Sony and PlayStation inaugurated l’initiative Play at Homeoffering a whole bunch of free games. Renewed the following year, the Japanese firm had notably highlighted the game Horizon Zero Dawn that players rushed to add to their library “just in case”. Well know that this version of the game is eligible for upgrading the digital version of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for the modest sum of €9.99 ! Casually, for those who put it aside and who say to themselves that this version, planned October 31 (also on PC), is the opportunity to finally try it, it’s a blessing!
