Her wireless headphones exploded in her ears and made her deaf: Samsung doesn’t believe it

What is this affair that is heating up social networks? For several days now, a story about wireless headphones has been circulating, notably on Reddit and on the social network X. A young man claims that the device exploded during use.

For several days, a case of explosion of Samsung headphones has been relayed on social networks. Originally a Turkish man who claims a pair of Galaxy Buds FE exploded in his girlfriend’s ears, causing her permanent hearing loss, as reported 01net. It was on the Samsung Turkey forum that the person presenting himself as a 24-year-old man shared his testimony, to which he attached various photos of the headphones and his partner’s medical report.

The earpiece would have made his girlfriend deaf

As he claims, he purchased the wireless earbuds to go with his Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone and received them already 36% charged. His girlfriend then allegedly used them before the left one exploded in her ear. Apparently examined by a doctor, he declared that the damage to the young woman’s ear and eardrum had led to “permanent hearing loss”.

In debate on social networks

Following his testimony, the affair quickly spread on social networks, sparking strong reactions from Internet users. Some accuse him of lying, putting forward the hypothesis that the device would have melted, either when it was charging or in the sun. Hypothesis supported by the company Samsung which, after an official examination of the device, declared that the headphones would have “only been deformed”. She would then have offered a new pair to the user.

For the moment this story remains an enigma and the words put forward by the young man have not been proven. For its part, Samsung has not publicly discussed this matter.
