The time has come for content aggregation. M6+, already a signatory of an agreement with Konbini and Hayu (NBC Universal), is going on the offensive and announced that it had concluded, this Tuesday, September 24, 2024, a strategic agreement with Pluto TV, Paramount’s free, ad-supported streaming television service (FAST). Aimed at “editorial” And “commercial“, this partnership aims, according to the protagonists, to “develop the free streaming market in France“.
What this partnership changes for M6+ users
On the editorial level, M6 continues in a press release, “this unprecedented partnership mutually enriches the streaming platforms M6+, acclaimed by 26 million unique users, and Pluto TV, a global pioneer of FAST and the first FAST service launched in France.”

For their part, Pluto TV users “will benefit from emblematic brands of the French audiovisual landscape with 6 channels from M6+, representing 2,000 hours of content with references such as ‘Zone interdite’, ‘Turbo’, ‘Les reines du shopping’, ‘Les Marseillais’.”
As part of this partnership, the two parties conclude, “M6 Publicité becomes the advertising partner of Pluto TV in France, allowing it to monetize all Pluto TV inventory in France and Pluto TV content available on M6+. Paramount Advertising’s sales teams in France will also sell Pluto TV inventory in the market alongside M6 Publicité’s teams.”

Like the M6 group, TF1 and France Télévisions have also announced the strengthening of their aggregation strategy by hosting on their respective platforms the content of the Franco-German channel Arte and its digital mirror arte.tv. In recent hours, moreover, the L’Équipe channel, already distributed by the TF1+ platform, signed a partnership with MyCanal.
