Google Photos gets even better at helping you edit your videos

It is precisely in this area that Google announced some rather interesting new features this Monday on the forums dedicated to its photo and video service.

AI-powered editing tools

Several more advanced functions for video editing will soon arrive on the application. Concretely, this update will allow you to benefit from three new features:

  • advanced crop tool
  • new auto-enhance button
  • new speed button

The first new feature should make life easier for people who want to edit their videos directly from Google Photos. The new advanced trimming tool will simplify the cutting of sequences in order to make it more precise.

The speed tool will allow users to modify the playback speed of the video, in particular by transposing it to slow motion.

Finally, automatic enhancement will automatically adjust both the framing of the sequence, but also its colors or electronic stabilization.

These new features will gradually arrive in Google Photos. However, the publisher does not indicate whether they will be available to all users or only to those who have subscribed to its Google One offer. Traditionally, advanced AI editing functions in Google Photos are in fact initially reserved for Google One subscribers.
