A Brazilian regulator provides interesting information about iPhone 16 batteries: their capacity.
This is an Apple fad. The American manufacturer never communicates the battery capacity of its devices. It prefers to announce a usage time or a comparison with the previous generation.
This is of course the case for the iPhone 16, but thanks to the Brazilian regulator Anatel, we now have raw information on the entire range.
A clear progression
And Apple has nothing to be ashamed of, as it has indeed increased the battery capacity across its entire range. The biggest improvement is on the iPhone 16 Pro model with +9.40% more capacity. But at the very least, there is a +6% increase on the Pro Max.

On the Apple side, we indicate hourly values that are closer to the use case. And according to its table, we have a nice theoretical increase between the 15 series and the 16 series, the strongest being observed on the iPhone 16 Pro with 4 hours more in video playback.

We’ll have to wait for our own battery life tests to validate this progress. But one thing is certain, wired charging has been significantly improved. The certification data mentions fast charging up to 45 Watts, a figure absent from Apple’s technical sheets. In wireless, it’s 7.5 Watts in Qi, 15 Watts in Qi 2 and 25 Watts in MagSafe.
