Did you think that now that Nintendo has made the existence of the Switch 2 official, the rumors surrounding the portable console would stop? That you are naive (and so is your servant). As long as the full presentation on April 2 has not taken place, where prices, technical specifications and above all release date will normally be revealed, the hallway noise industry should continue to do well. Today, it is an extract from the press release from the publisher and manufacturer Nacon, concerning its latest sales results, which provides a potential release window for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Nacon and Nostradamus, it starts the same. Coincidence?
In this document, a sentence states that several positive factors should boost the company’s activity during the first fiscal half of 2025/2026. In the list of these factors is the following sentence: “the arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2 console, for which Nacon already has compatible games and a complete range of accessories.”

It’s difficult to be clearer: the Nintendo Switch 2 will therefore be released next April at the earliest (i.e. just after the Nintendo event), and, according to Nacon, at the latest in September. Given the relationship Nacon must have with Nintendo, as well as previous rumors, this release window is entirely plausible.
-A price revised upwards?
In addition to the question of the date, that of the price also remains unresolved. Although very close to its big sister, the Nintendo Switch 2 makes everything bigger. Despite the good health of Windows/SteamOS portable consoles, Big N has been in a virtual monopoly on classic portable consoles for years, the firm could therefore decide to also increase prices, knowing that its console will sell in all the cases. Analysts believe that between 14 and 20 million Switch 2s will find a home in the first year on the market.
