Six times more subscribers than his own boss – no less than the CEO of the SNCF – such is the exponential popularity of a certain “BB27000” on social networks. Behind this nickname borrowed from that of a freight locomotive, a train driver from Saint-Léon-sur-l’Isle (Dordogne).
Now assigned to the PAC (driving support center) TER, the rail emergency service, Wilfried Demaret had already, at the age of 49, published more than 600 mini-stories mixing small and large stories from the railway world. Mostly drawn from his own experience, dusting off rail life with good humor.
From wagons that no longer go “tac-tac tac-tac” as they used to, to windows that can no longer be opened, to the backstage of a driving cabin or even this 1,000 euro question: why do our phones have such poor reception on board? Here is now the “trainfluencueur” author of a book published by Plon, a collection of anecdotes that shed light on his daily routine, an ode to the journey “from Paris to the depths of Lozère”.
