With such a large line-up of games developed by Xbox in 2025, it seemed entirely logical that the green brand would punctuate the start of the year with the holding of a new edition of the Xbox Developer_Direct.
Xbox Developer_Direct celebrates Xbox games of 2025

With its new production studio, Xbox is therefore renewing its show called Xbox Developer_Direct for the third time. As its name suggests, this is a format dedicated to those who create games within Xbox studios with very detailed presentations of certain upcoming games.

What announcements and surprises can we expect from the new Xbox Developer_Direct?
Microsoft already has plenty of Xbox games announced and projects in development. This Developer_Direct will focus on DOOM: The Dark Ages and South of Midnight, as well as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, although it is not an Xbox-developed game. Indeed, it is Sandfall Interactive which is at work on this turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics. Finally, a mystery game from another studio will also be announced!
-After Hi-Fi RUSH in 2023 and Visions of Mana in 2024 as surprises, rumors suggest that a remake under Unreal Engine 5 of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion could be made official. It would be developed by Virtuos and would be planned for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

- South of Midnight : Contrast and We Happy Few creators, Compulsion Games, will reveal more about South of Midnight, a third-person adventure game set in the haunting landscapes of the American South. You will play Hazel, a heroine immersed in a quest that combines family mysteries and fantastical creatures inspired by Southern folklore.
- Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 : Head to Montpellier to discover Sandfall Interactive, a French studio which will make its debut with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The developers will share their vision and the manufacturing secrets behind this title.
