OLED for gaming? What a great idea
There’s no denying it: the difference is felt when you switch to an OLED PC screen, especially if you play a lot on it. So the investment required by the Corsair Xeneon 27QHD240 is amply justified by what you see in front of your eyes. Namely a 27″ OLED panel which was designed by LG Display. The screen displays QHD, that is to say 2560 x 1440 pixels with a maximum refresh rate of 240 images/second.
This is more than enough to enjoy an image in all your games, even the most nervous ones, such as racing games or fast FPS. Especially with the 0.03 ms latency, blurring effects are reduced to a minimum. The only small criticism we can make is the peak brightness at 600 cd/m² in HDR, a little limited for this type of screen.
A crazy screen adjustable at all levels
Let’s come back for a moment to the finishes of the screen, almost without edges and a very thin panel. In addition, the screen is super ergonomic since you can adjust it on four axes: tilting back and forth, possibility of rotating it 90° in portrait mode, right/left swiveling and of course height adjustable. In terms of connectivity, it is generous with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-C ports, four USB-A ports and a 3.5 mm jack port.
The Corsair Xeneon 27QHD240 benefits from technologies to improve the user experience. For example, you have VRR to synchronize the framerate of the screen with that of your graphics card, to further reduce stutters and cuts. There is also an Overdrive function to manually adjust the response time. Especially since it is compatible with Nvidia and AMD hardware. Finally, with Flicker-Free, you limit flicker effects for a truly optimal gaming experience.
All the functions and specifics of the Corsair Xeneon 27QHD240 were detailed in the full screen test, where it scored 9/10.
