The conspiracy theorist Jeran Campanella is quite famous on the Web, in fact, he is behind the YouTube channel Jeranism which has just over 160,000 subscribers. The young videographer is also known as a flat Earther. As a reminder, flat scientists consider the Earth as a gigantic immobile disk bordered by Antarctica. Above would be a dome whose role is to keep the atmosphere in place. As part of “The Final Experiment” project organized by a Colorado pastor named Will Duffy, Jeran Campanella took part in a trip to Antarctica with other flat enthusiasts. The expedition also saw the participation of Round Earth supporters.

Putting an end to an old myth

According to the explanations of the creator of the project, it was established in order to “put an end to the debate on the shape of the Earth”. Antarctica was not chosen by chance. The Midnight Sun of this immense expanse of land located around the South Pole is among the many clues that prove that the blue planet is round. This phenomenon is manifested by a continuous presence of the sun in the sky, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during the summer. This is only possible if the Earth adopts a spherical shape as well as an inclined position.

The Atlantic Treaty as one of the reasons for the trip

The choice of Antarctica as a destination also stems from the fact that some flatliners view the Antarctic Treaty as a barrier to prevent the civilian population from traveling to the southern continent. For them, this agreement which was signed in 1959 aims to hide the truth about the shape of the Earth. Together, the members of the expedition were able to observe the famous Midnight Sun. Faced with this unexpected discovery, the YouTuber had no choice but to admit that he was wrong.

Forced to change sides!

“Sometimes you are wrong in life. I thought there was no sun 24 hours a day. In fact, I was pretty sure of that”said the conspirator in a YouTube video. Aware that he risks attracting the lightning of flat enthusiasts, Jeran Campanella also asked the community not to condemn his opinion. “Don’t listen to my beliefs or opinion, it shouldn’t matter to you. But you should at least be able to accept that the sun does exactly what these guys said.”he added.

It took a trip to the Antarctic to demonstrate to these flat believers that they were wrong, are you one of those who only believe what they see? I invite you to give us your opinion, your comments or point out an error in the text, click here to post a comment.
