Manufactured at the Terex Crushing Technology Center of Excellence in Coalville, the MT120J is a weighty addition to the Magna range. Featuring an advanced 1200mm x 820mm Terex chamber optimized for high performance crushing, the MT120J has a production potential of up to 600 tph (661 tph US), depending on material type and crusher settings, and is designed to handle difficult, high-volume operations.
One of the main strengths of the MT120J is its quick setup process. The machine features a ground-level folding hydraulic feed hopper with a hydraulic locking system, which helps operators install and operate it efficiently. The sturdy feed hopper is wear-resistant and the self-cleaning stepped-grid feeder with feed screen under the feeder ensures a continuous and even material flow. Additionally, the MT120J is equipped with a wide diversion chute that optimizes material flow, while the aggressive crushing action of the high swing jaw promotes efficient material entry into the chamber.
The crusher also offers a fully hydraulic adjustment system, which allows operators to make quick and precise changes to crusher parameters, improving both flexibility and operational efficiency. The highly efficient direct drive system promotes low fuel consumption and allows the MT120J to be an economical and environmentally friendly solution. Its powerful engine operates at low revs, further reducing fuel consumption without sacrificing performance. While the first unit produced is a diesel/direct drive configuration, the MT120J model can also be built as a full hybrid unit to use the on-board genset drive system or accept an external power supply (MT120Je).
For ease of use, the MT120J is equipped with a modern, user-friendly PLC control system that includes an auto-start function. It also comes standard with MAGNA radio remote control and telemetry, allowing intuitive monitoring and control of the machine. The product conveyor is angle adjustable, allowing easy access and transportation, while the chassis design under the crusher provides excellent access for servicing and maintenance.
The MT120J is also designed with safety and maintenance in mind, equipped with a dust suppression system to ensure cleaner operations as well as simple access to the powertrain cover for maintenance and repair.
