Announcements on the second Monday of “12 Days of OpenAI” focused on search in ChatGPT.
The AI search engine is available to all users starting today, including all free users who are logged in wherever they can access ChatGPT. The feature was previously only available to paid ChatGPT Plus users.
The search experience, which allows users to browse the web from ChatGPT, has become faster and better on mobile and now features an image-enriched layout.
Search is integrated into Advanced Voice Mode, meaning you can now search while you’re talking to ChatGPT. To enable this feature, simply enable Advanced Voice Mode the same way you usually do and ask your query verbally. The chatbot will respond orally to your query by leveraging the web.
OpenAI also baited developers by announcing: “ Tomorrow is for you » and calling the next live video a “mini Dev Day”.
