Occupational therapist specializing in supporting care and caregivers for the elderly or people with disabilities, Sophie Singer had the ideal profile to lead the I adapt my habitat workshop organized in the Lothaire-Kübel room, in Argenton-sur-Creuse, by the Mutualité française, in partnership with the community of communes of the Creuse Valley. This appointment, scheduled in the system Santé vous bien, intended to support and maintain the autonomy of seniors, allowed the speaker to give advice to avoid falls and improve daily comfort.

After analyzing the behavior of each participant in their familiar environment, whether in the different rooms of the house or in the garden, Sophie Singer determined the risk factors and recommended certain actions, such as not cluttering the rooms, lighting light when traveling, with the aim of finding human, material or architectural compensation for the effects of aging. The Health You Well operation continues in Argenton-sur-Creuse with the gym’ prevention workshop, scheduled every Monday morning until the end of February.
