Google unveils its platform for developing professional AI agents

Google announced two major new features on Friday, December 13 regarding the deployment of AI in businesses. The tech giant presented Agentspace, and NotebookLM Plus, based on Gemini. Agentspace is the real new thing, designed as a search assistant in company systems. It “provides conversational assistance, answers complex questions, offers proactive suggestions, and executes business-specific data-driven actions,” Google says. The tool is connected to other services such as Confluence, Google Drive, Jira, Microsoft SharePoint and ServiceNow. But beyond that, Agentspace also constitutes “a starting point for creating tailor-made AI agents”. Google is thus getting a foothold in “agentive” AI, which consists of developing tools for automating specific tasks, by training them on internal company data. The giant is soon promising a no-code interface to allow you to create and personalize your own AI agent, in order to adapt it to your organization and specific tasks. The tool will help analyze data, resolve problems in software development, or for marketing teams, to “deepen their performance analyses, optimize content recommendations and refine their campaigns,” says Google. NotebookLM Plus is an evolution of the data analysis service (audio, PDF, spreadsheet, etc.) with greater security meeting professional requirements.
