Intel has yet to announce the Twin Lake lineup, but mini PCs powered by the N150 series are already available for purchase. The Beelink S13 and EQ 14 (currently $229 on Amazon) are among them, and the Acemagic V1 will soon join them. At its core, it’s an affordable mini PC aimed at relatively low-resource applications.
The Intel N150 processor is a slightly improved variant of the n100 with a higher clock speed. It is claimed to offer a 15% performance boost, which should allow the Acemagic V1 to handle everyday office tasks and multimedia needs. It should even be able to emulate games to some extent. The company has paired this low-power processor with a cooling system that aims to keep the noise level low while allowing the processor to deliver stable performance during heavy loads.
When it comes to construction, this mini PC’s chassis isn’t anything out of the ordinary, but Acemagic claims it’s compact enough to fit into most workspaces. Specifically, the N150-powered V1 measures 3.9 x 3.9 x 1.18 inches. There is also a decent selection of ports, including:
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1 x Ethernet
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1 x HDMI 2.0
For wireless connectivity, the Acemagic V1 has WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2, which is not very modern, especially when compared to other recently launched mini PCs. Although pricing is not yet known, it is expected to be around $250, which is in line with the prices of other N150-powered options.
