A leak from a Finnish carrier has revealed new information regarding the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which is scheduled to launch next month.
According to information disclosed by SuomiMobiliithe range will offer varied storage capacities depending on the models. The standard Galaxy S25 will be available in 128GB and 256GB versions, while the S25 Plus will offer a choice between 256GB and 512GB. The top model, the S25 Ultra, will come in three options: 256GB, 512GB and a generous 1TB version.
A particularly interesting element of this leak concerns compatibility with Qi 2 charging technology. If previous leaks suggested that the Galaxy S25 would be compatible with the magnetic charging technology provided by the Qi 2 standard, it seems that this would not ultimately be exactly the case.

Samsung could have made a different choice for the Qi 2 standard on the S25
Samsung seems to have opted for a different approach by offering a “magnetic cover” for all three models in the series. This decision suggests that the Galaxy S25s will not natively support the magnetic power profile of the Qi 2 standard. In practice, users will likely need to use a special case to take advantage of magnetic chargers and MagSafe compatible accessories.
This revelation qualifies the assertions of a previous informant who had announced the compatibility of phones with the Qi 2 standard. Moreover, it is important to note that a device can support the basic Qi 2 charging protocol without necessarily integrate magnets or support the magnetic power profile.
This information remains to be confirmed during the official presentation, but if it turns out to be true, some Samsung fans who expected to be able to charge their smartphone with magnetic chargers could be disappointed.
