The Xiaomi Poco Pad is finally available in France, and it is already cheaper on the official website

Unveiled last May, the Xiaomi Poco Pad, a very well-equipped touchscreen tablet, has just arrived on the French market. It was time. The second good news is that despite its recent release, it is already on sale on the official website, which lists it at 240 euros instead of 300 euros.

When Xiaomi lifted the veil last May on its brand new inexpensive touchscreen tablet, the Poco Pad, we were first attracted by its very promising technical sheet. Large 120 Hz screen, solid SoC, considerable battery… It had it all. Then came the disappointment when we learned that it would not be marketed in , the brand having obviously preferred to shine the light on its Redmi Pad Pro. But that’s it, the Poco Pad is finally sold in our region, and even at a reduced price at the moment.

The strong points of the Xiaomi Poco Pad

  • A 12.1-inch QHD+ IPS panel refreshed at 120 Hz
  • Un SoC Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
  • A 10,000 mAh battery

Initially priced at 300 euros, the Xiaomi Poco Pad is now available on sale for 240 euros on the official Xiaomi website.

A beautifully designed tablet with an ultra-smooth screen

Xiaomi has not neglected the design of its Poco Pad at all, despite its low launch price. We are thus entitled to a touchscreen tablet with a very refined and elegant monocoque metal design, which also has the advantage of being sufficiently thin (only 7.5 mm thick) to guarantee a comfortable grip. It is also quite light (571 g), but still very resistant, in particular thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which protects its screen against scratches.

Regarding this screen, the Poco Pad is equipped with a very large 12.1-inch panel, in 16:10 format, which thus offers a more comfortable display surface. It is also equipped with IPS technology, which allows you to benefit from wide viewing angles, a 2.5K definition (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) for maximum sharpness, but also and above all a refresh rate of 120 Hz, adjusted automatically or manually. Suffice to say that the fluidity will be exemplary here.

A good configuration of the program

In the bowels of this Poco Pad, we also find a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, supported by 8 GB of RAM. A solid configuration that allows the tablet to meet all common uses, such as browsing the web, watching series, playing a little 3D gaming and consulting social networks. On the interface side, HyperOS takes place, with some functions adapted to the tablet, such as the possibility of copying and pasting elements between the tablet and a smartphone or even displaying the smartphone screen on the tablet.

The Xiaomi Poco Pad also scores points for its compatibility with numerous devices: stylus, keyboard and Pad Cover can in fact be combined for a better experience. Finally, on the autonomy side, the Poco Pad delights us with a 10,000 mAh battery, which offers, according to the brand, 16 hours of video playback on a charge. To top it off, the Poco Pad is compatible with fast charging up to 33W.
