After launching a new update of its application on iOS, Free is offering the same changes on the Android version of Freebox Files.

The new drag and drop feature tested in beta on Testflight is now available on Android thanks to a new update of the Freebox Files application on the Play Store. This new version also brings improvements to facilitate the configuration of a hard drive, announce the developers. The association of a new Freebox has also been optimized, and various bugs have been resolved for better stability of the application.

The application for managing Freebox storage space continues to improve and integrate usage changes aimed at making users’ lives easier. Launched in October 2022, the official Freebox Files application offers direct and simplified access to all files stored on the hard drive of a Freebox or on an external storage device attached to it. Subscribers can add and read files, and therefore save their photos and videos automatically on the disk, and thus find them at any time.

Supported disks according to Freebox

  • Revolution : internal disk + possibility of connecting 2 USB disks
  • Mini4K : possibility of connecting 2 USB disks
  • Pop : a USB disk
  • Delta : up to 4 SATA disks + connected 1 USB disk
  • Ultra : 1 NVMe disk + USB disk
