Is Samsung ready to position itself as a player in the connected glasses market?
This project is not new for Samsung: the Korean manufacturer was already working on the subject in 2020.
For several months, rumors have mentioned the development of a mixed reality headset capable of competing with Apple’s Vision Pro. If this lead has not been confirmed, new information suggests that Samsung could focus on another format: that of connected glasses. And this, from the third quarter of 2025.
These glasses, which could be presented during the Unpacked event which traditionally takes place in July, could have similarities with Meta’s Ray-Ban Stories.
One thing is sure, industry giants, such as Samsung, Google, Meta, Apple and others are investing heavily in the development of smart glasses and seeking to redefine the technological landscape, aiming to gradually replace smartphones, like the ‘Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica, recently said.
