So of course, Warhammer 40,000 : Space Marine 2 is gradually slowing down since Saber Interactive’s TPS has “only” garnered 500,000 sales since October. But this explosive performance remains historic. Between two glasses of champagne, Focus Entertainment took the time to detail patch 5.0 on the official website. A new PvE operation called “Obelisk” is coming soon.
“Obelisk” will be a new military operation that will take place alongside the final mission of the main campaign. We will therefore remain discreet about the context, but know that a new Tzeentch demon perched on a flying platform will now come to harass your squad. Remember to take him down before this blue jester causes you serious damage. From a technical point of view, patch 5.0 of Warhammer 40,000 : Space Marine 2 will also include support for Frame Generation DLSS and FSR 3.0 for an ever cleaner image (at least that’s the promise).
Saber Interactive also provides some news about the PS5 Pro version, which will be delivered in patch 5.0. In “quality” mode, Warhammer 40,000 : Space Marine 2 will be able to reach 4K at 30 stable FPS thanks to the bike’s native PSSR upscaling. It is especially the “performance” mode which proves to be the winner since it can now go up to 1440p natively with PSSR upscaling to reach 4K in 60 FPS.
To accompany these free updates, Warhammer 40,000 : Space Marine 2 will market a cosmetic pack inspired by the Dark Angels faction. First legion of space marines Created by the Emperor of Humanity, the Dark Angels capture the imagination of citizens and players alike thanks to their unhealthy culture of secrecy. You will be able to don new Templar armor in the image of the Dark Angels as well as weapon cosmetics which reflect their love of dark green and angelic signs. We can also choose the heraldic coats of arms of the offshoot battalions of the Dark Angels. Finally, all players will now be able to change the color of their helmet lenses for maximum color synergy.
Finally, remember that mods will no longer be available online in public games from patch 5.0. Saber Interactive recently explained that these add-ons unofficial generated too much instability with respect to the servers, and that certain mods could also corrupt the game of other players encountered. However, you will still be able to use your mods in private matches.
For the moment, Saber Interactive has not specified the release date of patch 5.0, which will arrive “ in the first half of December » if everything goes well.
