Game news 17 years after the release of the first game, Stalker 2 pays a vibrant tribute to it with this hidden detail: players have quite a look!

Last November 20 marked the end of a long wait for fans of the STALKER saga, who were finally able to fall back on the brand new episode on the Xbox Series and PC side. And they are on the lookout for the slightest reference.
The end of the tunnel
We can say quite easily that the development of STALKER 2: The Heart of Chornobyl was… chaotic. Already, because we are talking about a very ambitious game with a resplendent promised technique, among the best on the market, and also because an open world is what there is more complex to design. We are still talking about a title initially announced in 2010 before being canceled the following year, to finally be announced again in 2018.
The studio being based in Ukraine, the latter also suffered the full brunt of geopolitical events, forcing them to postpone the game to an indefinite date in 2022. The game will therefore have more than deserved its Arlesian status, with GSC Game World even playing self-deprecation during the very last postponement a few months ago. A mess of easter eggs
With its open world as fascinating as it is scary to explore, STALKER 2 had to also hide some goodies for its devoted fans. One of them was discovered by a player who was quick to share it on Reddit : a low wall houses the same inscriptions and objects as the main menu of the very first STALKER. That, for a tribute, is a beautiful one.
The post was a huge success on Reddit with over 30,000 upvotes. In the comments, a player points out other easter eggs:
There are a lot of easter eggs in the game. In Rostok, there is a wall that says “Get out of here, stalker” in Ukrainian. In the first game, there was someone in the same room telling you the same thing over and over, which became a meme.
I also found a location in Yantar where in the first game the corpses were leaning against sandbags, whereas in STALKER 2 there are skeletons in the same location.
Say what you want about performance issues, bugs, etc., STALKER 2 is truly a declaration of love to the original games.
And love is the only thing that’s true.
