On November 26, the Polish studio CD Projekt took the floor, multiplying the revelations on a whole host of subjects during their commentary on the financial results of the previous quarter. Among everything that was mentioned, we obviously find the studio's ambitious video game projects, like the next game in The Witcher saga. On this subject, CD Projekt had a statement of the utmost importance to make!
Cyberpunk 2077, a game and variations still present but…
Over the course of a year, the speaking engagements of certain development studios can be counted (at best) on the fingers of one hand. At least, that’s the case for Polish studio CD Projekt. However, it is not because the studio wants to be discreet that it is no less talkative. For once, the day of November 26 clearly showed us this! As we review the results of the previous quarter of its fiscal year, the CD Projekt studio had prepared some visuals and announcements which quickly went around the web and social networks. During this question-and-answer session, a whole bunch of things were discussed.
We were talking about it earlier in the morning, but this meeting was an opportunity to speak on various subjects, and not only related to video games. In 2022, CD Projekt tried, along with Netflix, another form of entertainment with the animated series Cyberpunk : Edgerunners. Ultimately, this idea of extending the Cyberpunk universe with other projects was saving since there was even a renewed interest in Cyberpunk 2077 at the time. In short, CD Projekt wishes to reproduce this success and also intends to vary its approaches, in particular with the production of a live-action project which could take the form of a series or a film!

The Witcher saga becomes the priority again: the fourth game enters the production phase!
When we see this, we say to ourselves that the universe of the Cyberpunk franchise, within the CD Projekt studio, has a bright future ahead of it. However… After several years of repairing Cyberpunk 2077the new statements from the Polish studio prove to us that the game is indeed behind them, even though the next project in this universe, hidden behind the code name Orion, currently occupies around sixty developers. From now on, CD Projekt's gaze is focused on the saga The Witcherthe one that allowed him to carve out a solid reputation in the world of video games.
For several months, we have known that CD Projekt is preparing the new era of games in the saga The Witcheralmost ten years after concluding it with the third part subtitled Wild Hunt. For the moment, we do not know the Polish studio's approach to the continuation of the Witcher adaptations, but we feel that things are progressing more and more. Following the question-and-answer session mentioned above, CD Projekt has confirmed that Project Polaris (or The Witcher 4while waiting to know the name) had just reached a crucial step: the title is entering the production phase and benefits from a very large workforce which reached 400 developers, as of October 31. Certainly, the announcement is important but above all it means that we will still have to wait a long time before being able to play it… See you in 2027, or later?
