EA has announced the launch of the Black Friday Mastery Mode event in EA FC 25, a new feature that appears to be this year's version of the popular Swaps feature.
Although the majority of EA FC 25 promotions and events so far feature classics, like RTTK or FC Pro Live, the developers are also testing new campaigns. After the Ballon d'Or weekend, it's time for Fashion Mastery.

Black Friday Mastery End Date
The Mode Mastery event will end on Sunday January 5, 2025which gives players just over a month to get the rewards they want.
The kick-off was given on Thursday November 28, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.on the same date and time as the start of Season 3 of Ultimate Team and the day before the launch of Thunderstruck, the Black Friday promotional operation.
The exact duration of this event remains unknown. However, if Thunderstruck spans two weeks, then it could end on December 6th.
How Black Friday Mastery works
EA FC 25's Mastery Mode works similarly to previous games' Icon Swaps. You earn cards by playing matches, which you can then exchange for better rewards.
The major difference is how to obtain these cards. Rather than fulfilling specific objectives, Mode Mastery cards are included in rewards from Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions. Depending on your ranking in each mode, you will receive a Mode Mastery Pack in addition to your regular weekly rewards.
For example, in FUT Champions, you will get one pack if you reach 4 wins, two packs for 9 wins, and three for 13 wins. These packs will contain special Mode Mastery items, which you can use in SBCs to get enhanced rewards, just like Icon Swaps.
These tokens can only be obtained by earning Mode Mastery Packs, which are included in the Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions rewards. Here's a detailed guide to earning them and unlocking their rewards.
Team clashes
- From Silver 1 to Elite 3: 1 Mode Mastery Pack.
- Elite 2 or higher: 2 Mode Mastery Packs.
Division Rivals
- Rewards improved from Division 8 to Division 4: 1 Mode Mastery Pack.
- Weekly rewards from Division 3 to Elite: 1 Mode Mastery Pack.
- Rewards improved from Division 3 to Elite: 2 Mode Mastery Packs.
FUT Champions
The distribution of rewards for this mode has not been specified here, but they follow the same principle based on the number of victories.
