The Redmi K80 poses in front of the camera ahead of its launch in China. It doesn’t look any different from the Redmi K80 Pro, but a closer look at the rear cameras reveals a significant difference.

The Redmi K80 series will launch in China in less than 24 hours, and while most people are focusing on the Redmi K80 Pro, the Xiaomi sub-brand has decided to shine the spotlight on the non-pro model by releasing photos of the device before launching.

According to the Weibo post revealing the device, the Redmi K80 will have a similar design to the Redmi K80 Pro. However, both phones are surprisingly different from their predecessors. Instead of the large rectangular camera island of the Redmi K70 series, both Redmi K80s have an off-center circular island, like the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 12R (currently available on Amazon for $499).

The Redmi K80 is featured in an exclusive color called Xiyue Bluewhich is actually a light shade of blue. The images show that the phone will have a dual-finished 2.5D glass back. As can be seen in the photos, the phone has a smooth/crisp top and a patterned bottom that starts a few millimeters below the camera island.

The inside of the camera island has a set of markings in a circle. These brands are also present inside the Redmi K80 Pro. However, as you can see in the image below, the Redmi K80 Pro has a telephoto lens, while the Redmi K80 does not.

Like its pro sibling, the Redmi K80 will feature a 2K Grand Slam display provided by TCL, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a matte-finish metal chassis and a UV protection rating. dust and water IP68/IP69. Unfortunately, it is unlikely to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This, along with a telephoto camera and a few other features, will set it apart from the Redmi K80 Pro.

The Redmi K80 series will be unveiled in China, but there is no indication yet that it will be released worldwide. The Redmi K70 was somehow released worldwide under the name Poco F6 Pro (available on Amazon.de for €331)). There are rumors that the Redmi K80 Pro could come out of China under the name Poco F7 Ultra.
