Recognized worldwide in the road construction and maintenance equipment segment, the Fayat group has just further strengthened its position with the acquisition of the American company Asphalt Drum Mixers LLC (ADM). Specializing in the manufacture of asphalt plants, the latter has thus joined the Fayat Mixing Plants business unit, which also includes the other brands of the Ermont and Marini group. “This acquisition is a great opportunity for the Fayat group and its customers, because ADM is a key player in the road construction equipment market in North America, with a highly recognized brand,” commented Jean-Claude Fayat, president of the group.

More broadly, this acquisition allows the French group to strengthen its presence in North America where its Bomag, Dynapac and Secmair brands are already present in the asphalt sector.

Mike Devine Retains Presidency

The Fayat Group intends to develop and expand ADM’s product offering while continuing to market its equipment under this brand name. In addition, it intends to have all its brands collaborate in order to create the synergies necessary for the development of future technologies.

Furthermore, while the group has acquired a majority stake in the American company, it has chosen to keep Mike Devine as president of ADM, a position he has held since 2004. This is a way of ensuring continuity and guaranteeing an effective transition, especially since the Boyd-Devine family remains a minority shareholder.
