While it's unclear how many dollars Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has generated since its launch, all indicators point to it being a real success. Activision just revealed today that it is “the greatest Call of Duty of all time”.
Black Ops 6 breaks three big Call of Duty franchise records
The launch of this new opus directly in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming must obviously have helped it to inflate its figures, but that does not mean that Activision's new revelations do not are not impressive.
Indeed, the company has just revealed that Black Ops 6 managed to break three franchise records, and not the least! Please note that these figures are based on the first 30 days of Call of Duty's life.
The four records held by Black Ops 6 compared to other Call of Duty
- Most players in the first 30 days
- Most cumulative gaming hours in the first 30 days
- Most games played in the first 30 days
Compared to other betas, that of Black Ops 6 also managed to beat these same records. However, it also stood out for “the greatest number of hours of play per player”, something that Black Ops 6 seems not to have managed to accomplish during its first 30 days.
Double XP, playlists… Treyarch thanks the players!
To celebrate this record launch, Treyarch has some surprises in store for players. In fact, from this Wednesday, November 27, a double XP weekend will begin.
In addition to this, starting this same day, the Stakeout 24/7 and Hardcore Stakeout 24/7 playlists will return. But that's not all! It's also this Wednesday that Chameleon mode will make its debut in a dedicated playlist!
“Get ready for an infamous game of hide and seek, because the fan-favorite Black Ops game mode is back! Enter a multiplayer map as a prop or hunter. The props have only one mission: after a short time to find a hiding place, you must blend into the landscape as a random stage object, but with the ability to move… and whistle uncontrolled manner every 30 seconds. Wait for the allotted time and don't attract the attention of the hunters, or that's it! »
