Fans of the survival genre will have something to do in July, since a new game is coming from Starry Studio. A title that is already attracting the favor of players since it is already a hit on Steam.

An open world multiplayer survival game

Starting July 9, players will be able to get their hands on Once Human, a survival game set in a strange post-apocalyptic future. On June 10, the lucky ones were even able to take part in a demo, and the game then had more than 14 million registered players. A great craze for a title whose promotion has been rather discreet.

The apocalypse has changed everything. Everyone is infested by an alien creature – Stardust. You, Meta-Human, can survive the contamination and use the power of Stardust. Play alone or in a group to fight, build, and explore. You are the last hope in the midst of the world’s chaos.

But this lack of promotion did not stop the game from making itself known. In less than 24 hours after the opening of Steam’s Next Fest and the opening of the demo, The game reached a record number of 19,487 players, managing to be the most played demo of the event. It even became the most searched game on Steam, overshadowing Shadow of the Erdtree.

Currently, it is in the top 5 most desired games on the Valve platform, but also in the top 5 most anticipated games. A great success for the studio, which, we hope, will be lasting. We also of course hope that the game lives up to expectations.

Other impressive figures

Building on this obvious enthusiasm, the Chinese giant NetEase, which distributes the game, has revealed new figures. As PCGamesN reports, the game had 300,000 players worldwide during its beta version and 15 million pre-registrations following its presentation at Summer Game Fest. Two hours after releasing its demo last week, Once Human had 80,000 concurrent views on Twitch.
